Possibilities
GoodEarth is a multi-disciplinary organisation whose ethos stem from sustainability, harmony with nature and reversing global climate change. We work across an array of ventures that touch the grassroots of development spanning residential community development, design and development of communities; architectural design for enterprises and institutions, regenerative agriculture, ecological restoration, efficient water management, organic retail, interior design, landscaping and many more. Our communities and projects are designed around green living, sustainability, regeneration and living in tune with the nature.
About us
GoodEarth was initiated by a group of passionate engineers and architects in the late eighties, inspired by the explorations in alternative architecture by Laurie Baker and ideals of Mahatma Gandhi on sustainable and decentralised development, sensitive to the environment and people.
We are a multi-disciplinary organisation whose ethos stem from holistic design, hands-on practice, and responsible business. We strive to address the larger environmental and social challenges by excellence in design and practise through our work that ranges from building residential communities, regenerative agriculture to ecological restoration with a holistic vision.
In our journey over 35 years, we have realised that there are no time-driven answers; only observation, common sense, innovations and discoveries can strengthen our decisions.
We revel in the joy of celebration, commitment and community. We are equally at ease with an innovator with effervescent spirit, as we are with the quiet, shy thinker who whispers an opinion.
As a team we are involved in the progress from design to delivery of any project. Attention to detail, common sense and diligence are as important as innovation and creativity.

Roots
At GoodEarth, we have been on a journey of discovery for more than three decades, a journey that continues. We ask deep questions about the spaces that we inhabit, seek to understand how better one can live in union with nature and the environment. We are a pioneer in the field of alternative architecture and environment friendly development. In this journey, we have realised that there are no time-driven answers; only experiments, innovation and discoveries that inform our decisions.

As a team we are intensely involved in the progress from design to delivery of any project. Attention to detail, common sense and diligence are as important as innovation and creativity. The aura is one of celebration, commitment and community. We seek and celebrate individuals who are hands-on, willing to multi task, passionate about what they do with an ability to think out of the box and the spirit to run that extra mile.
Our Journey
This has been our journey from an NGO to Consultancy Firm to Design Build and Development Group.
At GoodEarth, our over 35 years of work in architectural developments is not just ours. But, of a community of skilled and talented people and their ideas and vision to create something out of the ordinary.
These are architects, designers, drafts persons, crafts people and masons, who are all drawn together because of their passion for their craft.
All GoodEarth projects are a testimony of our commitment to the environment and the people.
GoodEarth tried to explore natural farming in its land at Theni, Tamil Nadu in the early 90’s. The experiment failed owing to change in rainfall patterns and depleting groundwater level.
However, our experiment in natural farming served as a lesson and warned us about the degrading land across the globe leading to desertification. Theni like large parts of India has become arid and progressing towards desertification.
Around 2018, we initiated a thorough geological survey and design for sustainable water management of the Malhar Eco-village project in Bangalore.
At about the same time GoodEarth came across efforts in regenerative agriculture in Tumkur, an arid district in Karnataka.
A lake was restored in Anchepalya, Bangalore, in the same period. Interaction with Allan Savory who originated holistic resource management, a systems-thinking approach to managing resources and study of his scientific efforts in reversing desertification in Zimbabwe deepened our insights on holistic design and management of land and ecosystems. Efforts of the Waterman of India Dr Rajendra Singh and Water warrior and innovator of Chauka system, a new technique of water conservation, Lakshman Singh on water sustainability gave fresh insights.
GoodEarth now has taken up regenerative agriculture to rebuild ground water, ecosystems and reverse climate change.
We have started working on holistic design of both urban and rural watersheds to hone our skills for meeting larger sustainability goals.
Environment, people, economy and a culture of care for all form the four verticals of sustainable development.
We wanted to explore and chose to act. We took to regenerative agriculture as the means to heal the soil, and thereby reverse global climate change and its consequent desertification.
Realising that everything in nature is interconnected, we are directing our efforts, engineering and a host of our skills towards reviving degraded land, and thereby restoring the land to its full potential.
Driven by sustainability goals, we are focussed on pioneering architectural innovations and bringing in new ways of looking at how development can be achieved without harming the environment.
Similarly, through regenerative agriculture that heals the soil and ecological restoration, we continue to practise sustainability that has been the cornerstone of GoodEarth.
