My journey to 100 years: Centenarian T M Narasimha speaks
This week we are excited to showcase the film Ajja, a loving tribute to Mr T M Narasimha, who turned 100 years on September 28, 2024. The centenarian is a resident of GoodEarth Palmgrove for nearly a decade.
While having journeyed to be 100 years old is momentous, the joy is further enhanced in the loving care of one’s family.
The film scripted, directed and narrated by his son T N Raja in his deep voice take us on a journey from Napoklu, a nondescript village in Coorg where Mr Narasimha was born in 1924, and his determined efforts to lift his family from the hard life through joining the Indian Army.
During the Second World War, he was deployed throughout northern India and travelled to Rawalpindi, Lahore, Peshawar etc that are now a part of present-day Pakistan. Reshaping his career as a Livestock Inspector and nurturing his children with care and providing best education following his wife’s death, Mr Narasimha’s life is a testimony to one man’s desire to give the best to his family.
“Discipline, hardwork, wishing best for all and faith in God, are most needed to lead one’s life,” says Shathayushi T M Narasimha.
“Sarve Janah Sukhino Bhavantu…”
“May all be happy…”
